School

Melting Pot Lucca is a language and culture school, where we teach English as a Second Language and Italian For Foreigners. Together we will find the right class for you!

About us

Melting Pot Lucca is the brainchild of Sarah, an American mother tongue teacher and Giulia, an Italian teacher. They decided to put together their expertise to build an innovative learning environment, where studying languages can be light and fun and where students of different backgrounds and mother tongues can meet and create connections, as in a true melting pot.

Method

During our lessons we focus on the more communicative aspects of the language: that’s why our teachers work so hard to stimulate conversation. Building vocabulary and studying grammar are important aspects of mastering a new language but in our classroom they are learned organically. The best way to learn is by having fun: that’s why we try to incorporate as many games and activities as possible during our lessons.

Thanks to the double teaching of Italian and English at Melting Pot Lucca you can meet people from all over the world. An Italian native improving their English might find themselves sharing a cup of coffee with someone from Canada who is in Lucca to learn Italian, and together they can put to test what they learned in their respective language classes. A teacher-guided natural conversation is the perfect way to practice a language!
